Built for Blazing Riffs: New Henry’s Single-Cut Electric Guitar SP-25

Built for Blazing Riffs: New Henry’s Single-Cut Electric Guitar SP-25

Made for players who want power in their sound, speed in their hands and authority in every riff. This LP-style electric guitar is your new heavy lifter.

We love our Fury, a trio of metal guitar models created for players who live on the heavy side of the fretboard. While the Fury is a Superstrat, we wanted to add something new and different to our lineup. And what signature body shape is better than the one favourited by the likes of James Hetfield or Slash?

“The SP Luke and Doug clenched my thirst for a different shape with a classic feel but still offering features for the right roar,” says our product manager JC.

This single-cut guitar keeps the old school vibe but adds sharper attack, tighter response and a faster feel. It fills the gap for players who want classic looks and modern firepower in one focused strike.

The Right Tools to Invoke the Metal Gods

We installed bridge humbucker pickups that help in heavier styles by delivering high output, thick mids and overall hell-raising tones. Excellent for heavy riffs and palm muting and works well with high gain and distortion.

At the neck sits the Sharp P90 pickup; brighter, more direct and expressive. It adds clarity for layered leads and classic phrasing. Switch between bridge and neck and you move from tight rhythm chugs to open, raw tones. The three position blade switch and dual volume and tone controls give you full command.

Locking tuners keep tuning stable during heavy picking and deep bends. The tune-o-matic bridge supports solid intonation and sustain. Everything is built to stay in tune and reliable when the stage gets wild.

Construction Made to Withstand Heavy Lifting

Single-cuts make great vintage-style electric guitars for heavier genres from metalcore to heavy metal. At the same time they are versatile gig machines for rock, blues and pop.
The body of the SP is made of solid okoume. It looks and sounds close to mahogany, but it is lighter and reduces the overall weight of the guitar. Long rehearsals and long gigs feel easier. Tonally you get warm low end, strong mids and natural resonance that works perfectly with high output pickups. The sound stays full and balanced even when the gain knob goes north. That makes it perfect for heavier styles like metal, where clarity under distortion is everything.

The roasted maple neck with a thin C profile is stable, responsive and built for fast shredding. Roasting the maple increases stability and snap, which means better tuning stability and a clearer attack. When you are stacking rhythm tracks in the studio or pushing high tempo alternate picking runs, that precision pays off.

The 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with jumbo stainless steel frets gives you smooth bends and long lasting durability. Stainless steel frets feel slick and solid under the fingers, even during aggressive sessions. The 24.75 inch scale keeps string tension comfortable for bends but still tight enough for heavy riffing.

The SP 25 comes in two variants, the gold Luke and the dark grey Doug. Both carry that sleek but edgy character. Each guitar arrives in a signature Henry’s gig bag with a sturdy strap, ready to hit rehearsal or stage straight out of the case.
