Playing hard for the forests: The Henry’s Tree Planting Initiative
Music has always been about leaving a mark. Not just on stage or in the studio, but beyond it. Forests are disappearing at a speedy tempo, and we believe it is time to change the rhythm. Read on about how Henry’s fights back.

According to the United Nations’ Global Forest Resources Assessment 2025, around 10.9 million hectares of forest are being lost each year globally between 2015 and 2025. That adds up to about 489 million hectares of forest cleared since 1990, most of it in tropical regions where biodiversity is richest. These rates have fallen from the earlier decades, but they are still far above what is needed to hit global forest protection targets by 2030.

Our guitars (along with other instruments) are, naturally, made of wood. Paulownia, okoume, mahogany, maple. We are a part of the industry that uses wood as part of their business and that is why we feel we must give back.

For every purchased 2nd-gen electric guitar, we plant a tree through EcoMatcher, a certified B Corporation working with trusted planting organisations around the world. Each tree is carefully chosen with the whole ecosystem in mind, from biodiversity to local communities. EcoMatcher uses a transparent platform so every tree has its own identity and story, planting trees in areas affected by deforestation.

The new guitar owners receive a QR code linked to “their” tree. They can see its exact location, the tree species, who planted it, how it supports biodiversity, and even follow its growth over time with real photos and projections of how it will look when fully grown. We believe this is a wonderful initiative that connects the abstract concept of deforestation, seemingly so distant from our everyday lives, with tangible results.

Play hard. Plant trees.
