Nach der Relic Strat ist nun auch die Relic Tele bei mir eingetroffen...ein erstaunliches Instrument. Meine 5te Tele inkl. US Originale und die Henry's ist locker auf dem Level der 'original' Telis. Wie bei der S-Style, alles perfekt eingestellt, tolle Bespielbarkeit und was mich wieder am meisten überrascht, ein sehr vielseitiger Sound von Vintage bis Modern kann alles abgedeckt werden. Am Relic Look hab ich nichts auszusetzen...meine Bandkollegen haben alle geglaubt, es wäre eine alte gebruachte Gitarre.
The guitar itself is fine – good playability, nice neck and a comfortable weight. But the relic finish is really disappointing. It looks very unnatural and cheap, nothing like real wear. Honestly, the fake dings and the large patches of “aged” paint ruin the overall impression. If you improve the relic process, this could be a great instrument for the price – but as it is now, it’s not convincing.
